Sean Car

Sean is the owner, Managing Director and Editor of The Melburnian and its publisher, Hyperlocal News Pty Ltd. In practice, that means his job description covers just about everything – from overseeing the business, editorial and commercial direction to interviewing, writing and getting out into the communities the publication serves.

A journalist by training, Sean has spent more than a decade reporting on Melbourne’s inner city and is particularly interested in planning, urban renewal, major infrastructure and the decisions shaping Melbourne’s future. He also hosts The Melburnian’s Future Melbourne podcast, bringing together civic, community and industry leaders to explore the big issues facing the city.
